Get A Discount on Vyvanse Without Insurance: Vyvanse Coupon

A once-daily stimulant medicine called Vyvanse is generally used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD or ADD) in children, adolescents, or adults over the age of six. Vyvanse is classified as a federally controlled substance (CII) since it has the potential to be abused or induce dependence. It is an amphetamine.

Vyvanse has been on the market since 2007 when the FDA approved it for the treatment of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Vyvanse may help individuals with inattentive ADHD improve their focus while decreasing impulsivity and hyperactive behavior at the same time, which are common symptoms of ADHD in many patients. No information is available on whether it is safe for children under the age of 6.

Vyvanse is also used to treat binge eating disorders in adults, according to the manufacturer.

Who Should Take Vyvanse?

When determining whether or not to take a medication, it is necessary to assess the dangers of taking the medication against the benefits it will provide. This is a decision that only you and your doctor can make together.

Vyvanse is approved for the treatment of ADHD in adults and children over the age of six and for the treatment of moderate to severe binge eating disorder in adults.

Binge Eating Disorder

Binge eating disorder is the most frequent eating disorder in the United States, despite having just been fully classified in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders. Known as BED, binge eating disorder is a severe eating disorder characterized by repeated bouts of consuming extremely large amounts of food in a short period of time, typically to the point that the individual feels uncomfortable. People who suffer from binge eating disorder generally experience a sense of lack of control during the binge and feelings of guilt, anguish, and shame after the incident has occurred. Unlike those suffering from bulimia, those suffering from binge eating disorders do not resort to compensatory measures such as purging in an attempt to counteract their bingeing episode.

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

ADHD is most commonly diagnosed in children. ADHD is a common neurodevelopmental disease that frequently manifests as one or more of the following symptoms:

  • Daydreaming
  • Hyperactivity
  • Weight loss
  • Fidgeting or squirming
  • Paying attention is proving to be a challenge
  • Controlling impulsive behaviors is difficult
  • Frequently forgetting or losing stuff
  • Excessive talking
  • Having a hard time getting along with others
  • Making rash decisions
  • Having trouble rejecting temptation

There are three types of ADHD: inattentive (formerly known as Attention Deficit Disorder, or ADD), hyperactive-impulsive (previously known as ADHD), and mixed presentation. The symptoms and appearance of ADHD in patients can fluctuate over time, and the illness can endure well into adulthood. ADHD affects nearly 10% of children in the United States. Even though it is more common to get a diagnosis during childhood, some adults get diagnosed with ADHD for the first time. Vyvanse (lisdexamfatmine), Ritalin or Concerta (methylphenidate), Adderall (amphetamine/dextroamphetamine) are some of the typical medications that have been shown to be effective in the treatment of ADHD.

How To Get Vyvanse Without Insurance

After Adderall and Ritalin, which have generic equivalents available, Vyvanse is the third most commonly prescribed central nervous system stimulant medicine. The patent for the original manufacturer of Vyvanse is not slated to expire until 2023, so Vyvanse without insurance can be extremely expensive – normally around $340 for 30 pills. Therefore, Vyvanse is not as easily accessible. Currently, there is no generic form of Vyvanse available, and until 2023, no generic version of Vyvanse will be allowed to enter the market without the manufacturer’s authorization.

Many patients have discovered that, despite the availability of alternative drugs, Vyvanse is the one that works best for them. Though several drugs, such as antidepressants and other stimulants, are used “off label” for the treatment of binge eating disorder, Vyvanse is the only pharmaceutical approved by the FDA to treat the condition in its entirety. For these reasons, there is a continued high demand for the drug.
